Arizona State University wanted to commemorate their first and long awaited trip to the Rose Bowl. Winning the 1986 contest made it an even more memorable experience.
The Athletic Department asked PaintMyStory to create a unique memento that captured all of the pride and dedication that went into the victory year. They also wanted the piece to be a flexible tool, suitable for everything from souvenirs to fund raising and key contributor appreciation.
PaintMyStory offered the perfect tool for the job. This bright, multi-faceted illustration depicts the effort and intensity of this successful team under the leadership of Coach John Cooper. The image of Sun Devil Stadium blended into the Rose Bowl creatively summarizes Arizona State’s historical achievement. The composition was designed to be used with or without individualization.
Coach Cooper hand signed 100 prints which were framed and sold to help support the General Scholarship Fund. Optional portraiture was added next to the coach on some of the pieces to honor and thank key contributors involved in the team’s march to the Bowl victory.
